Tom FrisinaExecutive Chairman
Tom Frisina has been an interactive entertainment entrepreneur for 30 years, including 13 years at Electronic Arts, where he founded EA Partners and served as its General Manager. He is the former Chairman of thatgamecompany, developers of Journey, one of the top-selling games on PlayStation Network and the first downloadable game ever to win the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences award for Game of the Year. Tom was also an Endowed Professor’s Chair for Interactive Media at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, underwritten by a grant from Electronic Arts.
Kevin SegallaCo-Founder, CEO
Kevin Segalla’s role as CEO evolved from CFC Capital’s investment in Tilting Point. Kevin is a former independent film producer and the Founder and Managing Partner of CFC Capital, a specialty finance and investment management firm focused on digital media, entertainment, and real estate. CFC Capital has provided funding to over 100 film, television, and digital media productions for clients such as Disney, NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures, DreamWorks, and WWE.
Dan ShermanCo-Founder, President & COO
Prior to forming Tilting Point, Dan Sherman led the execution of video game co-publishing and distribution partnerships in North America and Asia as Director of Business Development for EA Partners. In this function, Dan negotiated partnerships with some of the world’s leading video game developers, including Respawn Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Id Software, and played a key role in securing and expanding relationships with Harmonix Music Systems and Valve, growing EA Partners’ revenue fivefold to over $500 million a year.
Giordano ContestabileVP of Product Management & Revenue
Giordano is a mobile gaming veteran with over 10 years of experience in product development and operations, five of which were in free-to-play games. Previously, Giordano served as the executive producer of the Bejeweled franchise at PopCap Games (acquired by EA for $1.3 billion). Giordano led the team responsible for Bejeweled Blitz, a top 10 mobile game.
Tom BassVP of Marketing
Tom Bass is a 17 year game marketing veteran and was a part of the original team at 2K Games during its 2005 inception. He led the worldwide marketing efforts for blockbusters such as BioShock, Sid Meier’s Civilization IV and V, as well as leading 2K’s community and social media presence on Borderlands 2 and XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Tom has held marketing management positions at Codemasters, Acclaim, and Wizard Entertainment.
Jesse DivnichVP of Insights & Consumer Experience
Jesse Divnich was previously Vice President of Insights & Analysis at EEDAR, the game industry’s leading research firm. Over his 12 years in the industry, Jesse became one of the most widely referenced analysts and trusted advisors to major game publishers, developers, and investors. At Tilting Point, Jesse uses research, data, and analytics to supply our development partners with informed recommendations.
Jim HsuSVP of Legal and Business Affairs
Jim Hsu leverages over 15 years of corporate and commercial legal practice and dealmaking for the benefit of Tilting Point’s developer partners and their intellectual property. Previously, he was Senior Counsel at Zynga and Electronic Arts, where he was lead lawyer on a variety of partnerships for mobile, social, PC, and console games, including strategic licensing agreements and complex corporate transactions.
Steve CoallierSenior Director of Development
A 24-year veteran of video game development, Steve Coallier supports Tilting Point’s partners throughout the development process while ensuring compliance with platform licensor requirements. Steve was a core engineer at Sierra Online, working on more than 20 titles, and VP of product development at enVie Interactive. During his 17 year tenure at Electronic Arts, Steve shipped over 30 titles in a variety of product development roles.
Scott HofferDirector of Product Management
Before Tilting Point, Scott served as a Senior Product Manager at Zynga, working on free-to-play mobile and web games, including FrontierVille, Hidden Chronicles (over 7 million daily active users), and the Draw Something franchise. At Zynga, Scott was responsible for feature design and analysis focused on monetization, retention, and cross-promotion for multiple live games and global launches.
Sam DalsimerSenior Public Relations Manager
Sam joined Tilting Point as a former account director at TriplePoint, a leading gaming and tech public relations firm. He’s managed PR strategy and media relations campaigns for companies like King, Storm8, and Imangi Studios. With experience on over 100 mobile app launches, Sam’s previous work includes PR for hit games like Candy Crush Saga, Temple Run 2, Kingdom Rush, Diner Dash, and Sprinkle. His focus has always been helping the world’s best independent game developers achieve mainstream success.
Jerome SudanSenior Marketing Manager
Jerome is an experienced games marketer with a brazen love for game design theory and a research driven approach to marketing practice. Formerly the Marketing Director at RDA, an independent advertising agency, Jerome helped launch world-renowned games including Rock Band, BioShock, DmC Devil May Cry, Resident Evil: Revelations, Sid Meier’s Civilization V, and Dance Central. At Tilting Point Jerome works with our developer partners on the strategy and execution of their marketing campaigns, helping with everything from art asset creation, to web design, and competitive research.
Teresa LuUser Acquisition Manager
Teresa manages user acquisition campaigns and strategies for our partners, using over 50 media providers and best in class targeting. She joins Tilting Point from directing performance marketing and UA campaigns at DeNA West.
Jacob SzeSenior Product Manager
Jacob was previously a Senior Product Manager at The Playforge where he managed the entire product development process for multiple games. At Tilting Point, Jacob works with our developer partners on game development, including the design of new features, optimizing retention and engagement, monetization tuning, and player testing. Jacob mixes design creativity with market analysis, drawing on experience from an earlier role as a strategy management consultant.
Jen PearceSenior UX/UI Designer
Jen assists our development partners by leading User Interface and User Experience reviews, providing feedback and offering counsel on best practices. Her work improves the experience players have with partner games through impactful design choices. Prior to joining Tilting Point, Jen worked at PopCap Games as a user experience designer for some of their most successful franchises including Bejeweled and Plants vs Zombies.
Andrew OwensData Analyst
Andrew specializes in predictive modeling and data analysis, and joins the team from Accenture, where he advised Fortune 500 clients in the global tech markets. He was also the co-founder and analytics manager of BitFountain, a mobile app development and analytics firm. In his spare time, Andrew is an instructor of mobile analytics courses at General Assembly.
Karen CheneAccounting Manager
As Tilting Point’s in-house accountant, Karen is responsible for the company’s accounting processes and financial reporting, including payments and reports to our developer partners. With over a decade of accounting experience on multiple continents, including conducting audits of both private and public companies at KPMG and Deloitte, Karen has developed expertise in international accounting practices of the highest integrity.
Jeff KauthBusiness Development and Operations Associate
Jeff assists our partners in financial analysis and market sizing, having joined Tilting Point as a former global strategist for Samsung in Seoul, where he focused on smart home applications. Jeff held positions at Bear Stearns and was an equity analyst at acclaimed Renaissance Technologies, specializing in gaming and technology.
Trevor KaufmanAdvising Board Member
Trevor is the former CEO and founder of Possible Worldwide, a WPP-owned global interactive marketing agency, and is now the CEO of Tinypass, a provider of ecommerce software for media companies. Trevor has won numerous creative and business awards for his groundbreaking work, most notably a Cannes Lion for Google’s Art Project, an Emmy for putting the Beijing Olympics online, selection for the OMMA Media All-Stars, and inclusion as one of Newsweek’s “50 Most Important People on the Internet.”
